Respect and caring for those Loaves & Fishes serves begins with the description of them as guests, rather than clients, for Loaves & Fishes treats them as one would for those being served in a private home. When guests come to eat, they are welcomed by staff and volunteers, and encouraged to come again. Once they feel comfortable, helpful information is offered including other local resources. Loaves & Fishes is proud to report that guests who no longer need our services often come back to volunteer at our meal centers – to encourage others and to give back what they were so freely given.
